Non-Sparking Safety Tools

Non-Sparking Safety Tools

● Non-Sparking Safety Tools are used when the job or environment presents a high risk of fire or explosion. For this
reason, safety tools are used in a wide range of commercial industries, most significantly in sectors that process
flammable chemicals, materials, or gases, such as hydrogen
● Safety tools are made from metals that only produce a cool or low energy spark. These include brass and bronze as well as copper-based alloys such as aluminum bronze, beryllium bronze, with copper being the primary component
● Aluminum bronze: hardness 25-30HRC; tensile strength 782-989N/mm²; extensibility ɗ>5%; elasticity limit
450-550N/mm²; magnetic 1.2
● Beryllium bronze: hardness 35-40HRC; tensile strength 1117-1326N/mm²; extensibility ɗ>1%; elasticity limit
840-880N/mm²; magnetic 0
● Beryllium bronze has better chemical and physical properties than aluminum bronze, so beryllium bronze tools are used for the places where demanding higher explosion proof ratings
● Phosphor bronze: lower hardness than beryllium bronze, non-sparking and non-magnetic
● These days the safety tools are widely used in many industries or working sites such as chemical, power energy, petro refine, oil and gas, pipeline, drilling platform, fuel service, varnishing, armed forces, army, mining, shipbuilding, aviation, and fire department etc.
